Think TikTok won’t last ? Still think it’s “for kids” and that it doesn’t matter? Let’s see if you feel the same after this article

— Let’s hop right into this damn thing.

If you’re a business owner, entrepreneur, influencer, if you bake cakes in a small town or even a Fortune 500 executive, the fuel of your success for your business & brand is predicated on one simple thing….

Attention !!

You need to place yourself in a position to be seen, and there’s no better place to do that but the internet & new emerging platforms like TikTok.

TikTok (formerly known as Musically) was bought by a Chinese tech company ByteDance, INC. in 2018. In a nutshell, it’s a fun, creative place for youth content creators to make videos & skits to popular songs. That’s pretty much it. But, a lot of their success has also been predicated on a similar variable…

Attention !!!

Are you noticing a pattern here? Since TikTok rebranded itself, it massed over 500 million downloads since June. Musically or Musical.Ly was known more as a solely for music, since colliding with TikTok, it’s grew itself to a more open & free platform for users to be more creative. Comedy, sports mash ups, even A list celebrities like Will Smith, Sean Combs, & even Justin Bieber have all became TikTokers in 2019.

2020, TikTok has nearly 2 Billion, yes Billion downloads in counting. Valued at about $3 Billion company, TikTok is unquestionably killing the game right now.

Yeah but is this app really going to stick around for long? What’s the Point ? Will it be here in 4–8 years ?

I used to ask those same questions, fast forward I’ve gained near 10k TikTok followers and over 600K Views, out performing my Instagram account, the platform I’m most known on. But to answer you silly questions….. I’ll keep it short & to the point…

NONE OF THAT FUCKING MATTERS!! HERE’S WHY:

10.) Innovation is always a good idea

As a business owner you should always be innovating new ways to get your product & services to the market, rather that’s ways you personally like or dislike, this is business it’s imperative you stay unemotional to the platform & over emotional for reaching your end consumer by any means necessary.

9.) The Early Bird Gets The Worm

By attacking new platforms while they’re early, it gives you unbelievable advantage over other competitors. We’ve seen Instagrams organic reach plummet, YouTubes, & even Facebook, due to the disproportionate ratio of consumers : content creators. When the amount of content being produced outdoes the amount of eyeballs on a platform, it becomes oversaturated & noisy. Hopping on apps like TikTok , where a whopping 75% of overall users don’t post ANYTHING, the opportunity for viral content is astoundingly high, which is a huge part of TikTok’s recent success. Get on early !! Or miss out!!

8.) It was purchased for nearly $1B

This is just history repeating itself. Back when Facebook acquired Instagram for nearly the same amount, everyone disregarded the power of the app. Fast forward to right now…..yeah crazy right. Whenever you hear of companies buying smaller companies for rebranding, prepare for a rollercoaster ride & cash in your coins. Always Always always, which leads us to the next reason.

7.) Keeping Up With The Times Is Imperative

We have to be aware of what’s going on around us, whether it’s a big purchase from Google or Amazon, or a new shop opening up down the street. The more we know what’s going on around us, the better we can capitalize in our businesses & brands. Download Wall Street Journal, Ad Week, Ad Age, sign up for Google Alerts, keep up with new Apps like TikTok and stay informed at all times. Ignorance has no place in business.

6.) Over 1 Billion People Downloaded The Damn Thing

This one is very self explanatory. Once you see 1B people do something rather it’s good or bad, wouldn’t it make sense to see what all the hype is about ? Call their bluff? Over 1 Billion people use this shit man, keep up!

5.) Creators Are Going Viral Every Single Day

Over the last couple of months, TikTok has been the very platform that’s made all the difference for a number of individuals.

Charlie D’Amelio (32M Followers)

Chase Hudson (17.1M Followers)

Addison Rae (21.4M Followers)

Payton Moormeier (10.9M Followers)

And a whole lot of other 16 yr olds who’ve gained nearly a combined $4M from Brand sponsors, Google Ad cents, paid posts & more. Now I understand that these are all kids, but it’s big businesses like Coca Cola, Pepsi Co, Google & more who’s dumping money into these young influencers, big companies that you work at!

4.) Connect With The Youth Like Never Before

We all know that kids run the world basically, kids control the media, what’s popular, nuances & trends, ad spend for Fortune 500 companies, & a lot more. If you can find a way to creatively relate your product, whether it’s music, food, a service, etc. it can have enormous effect on your businesses growth. My good friend Jesus (@boxedupentrepreneur) had a discussion on TikTok a while back, you can check that out on YouTube (you’ll see a completely different viewpoint on TikTok from then to now btw) about how the youth is in charge in 2020, you have to market yourself to grab their attention.

3.) It’s not a social media app, it’s an entertainment app

TikTok has done something truly remarkable, they’ve found the barrier to connect entertainment & social media into one huge conglomerate that makes sense. Traditional social media is a more quality over quantity. That’s not the case with TikTok. There’s no rules, you’re not bound to stay “politically correct” creators are free to step outside the box, and distribute entertainment in a “social media” way, creating a triple effect on the content itself. Entertain the people & they will be fans / customers for life. TikTok is the place to show your creative / entertainment side with the help of a Social Media ish platform.

2.) There’s Literally No Fucking Rules In Posting

Commonly, it’s a little rude to post more than 4 times on Instagram until you become just flat out annoying. But once again, TikTok gets away with a lot of shit. You can post literally 10,000 times and NOT get bashed for posting TOO MUCH

Imagine that! A medium where you’re INCENTIVIZED FOR POSTING ALOT

If you’re content is good, and you follow the cadences (remember although there isn’t any official “rules” you still must be {contextual to the platform } — Gary Vee) YOU GET PUSHED INTO THE ALGORITHM!

1.) IT’S FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No explanation needed ;)
